Training Success Stories:
We would like to say thanks for helping train our dog, Blue (and his owners). It is amazing what we have been able to accomplish in two 90 minute in-home sessions. After being dumped on our 150 acre ranch, Blue became quite the 'wild one'.
He is now walking on a leash and sitting on command. When let out of the yard he makes his rounds with our friendly neighbor and their dogs, and then promptly returns back to our home. He even now gets into our car willingly after some pretty traumatic experiences when trying to get him to the vet.
We were very, very close to taking this one to the pound when we committed to give training with you a try. Thanks goodness because now we have quite a sweet dog as a friend. We are looking forward to our next session.

Dog Training Success Story: Pepper
The Dog: Two-year Doberman female, adopted January 2008, very sweet and gentle.
The Issues & Problems: Separation anxiety; trouble getting her to settle in; nervous about being in a crate when owners were out of the house
The Training Process: After two training visits Pepper is stress-free in her crate; she follows a structured schedule; no longer has to sleep with her owner; enjoys listening to classical music when alone.
The Owners’ Comments: “She has been sleeping in the crate at night (on her pillow).” “I am so glad we can feel better about leaving the house now.” “We couldn't have done it without you!”

Meet Conley, Judy Estes, trainer at
American Pet Spa & Resort, and Fenn, Conley's dog. Fenn was trained
by Judy to gently pull Conley's wheelchair and walker. Fenn also won
Best Behavior in the Fourth of July, 2007 Doggie Parade.

Jo Jo comes prepared for training.
Judy,
Sorry it has taken me so long to
say "THANK YOU!!" for the great job you did with Coco.
We were so worried about her getting out the front door. Coco has been so good.
She has not tried once to get out the door since your one hour visit! You did
in one hour what we could not do in one year!
Thank you,for teaching all of us!

Our trainer, Judy Estes began training in 2002 as
an in home trainer, receiving her certification for Canine Obedience
Instruction
from the Animal
Behavior College (ABC) in 2005. Her ultimate goal is
to save dogs from going to a shelter or adopted pets from returning
to a shelter.
Training dogs has been very enjoyable as well as
educational to Judy. Her love of animals from the time she was a child
has opened doors for
her career in pet dog obedience training. She follows the positive
reinforcement methods via clicker, object, food or treat motivation
training.
We believe every dog DOES have potential in becoming more obedient for
his/her owner. Not only does this help with adult ownership but with
children as well. Safety, responsibilty, and persistence is very important
in keeping your dog calm and attentive.
